Mercedes is all set to reveal their Mercedes-AMG GT C at the Detroit Auto Show this year.
As AMG completes its 50th anniversary this year, the occasion will call for a double celebration.
The GT C is a two-seat hardtop equipped with a 550hp twin turbo 4-liter V8 engine that offers a pretty impressive 0-100km/h time of 3.7 seconds and a top speed of 196mph. Other features include rear-wheel steering, an electronic limited slip differential and active air management. A number of louvres under the car can open and close to assist in engine cooling and aerodynamics.
The launch model of the car will be the Edition 50- a 50 car limited edition that boasts a matte black external paint finish, and black chrome exterior trim. The interior will feature boast silver pearl and black Nappa leather.
In fewer than three years, the second vehicle to be developed by us entirely in-house has grown into a family, offering a highly dynamic driving experience in a variety of forms,” said company chairman Tobias Moers.
The Mercedes-AMG 2018 GT C will probably arrive at car dealerships come Summer 2017.
